PRN 0099 Fundamentals of Practical Nursing II

This course builds on students’ knowledge of the foundational theoretical concepts essential to health care occupations for the practical nursing profession. Emphasis is placed on the roles and responsibilities of the practical nurse and core nursing principles. Students will explore Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, growth and development, pharmacologic principles, and the nurse’s role as provider of care, communicator, and member of the profession. This course consists of 120 theory hours.
