Cyber and IT Security, AS
Program Summary
The Associate in Science in Cyber and IT Security degree shall be awarded upon completion of 60 semester credit hours. The purpose of the this program is to prepare students for employment as cybersecurity and information technology networking security professionals, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in occupations such as cybersecurity analysts, network security specialist, e-commerce web site support specialists, networking specialists, and network technicians. The program prepares students to work in Internet, intranet, extranet, and enterprise environments; installing, configuring, designing, and managing secure network, data, e-commerce resources. Program completers will receive training that will prepare them to take the A+, CTWS, CEH, and Security + certification examinations. These exams are not offered on all college campuses.

Admission Information
To be admitted to the Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree programs, students must ensure the following documents have been received by the Admissions and Student Records office:
- A PHSC Application for Admission indicating the intent to pursue an AA or AS degree.
- An official high school transcript indicating graduation with a standard high school diploma or an official transcript of GED scores indicating receipt of a high school equivalency diploma.
- An official transcript from each U.S. college or university attended.
Students graduating from institutions outside of the United States must follow the procedures for submitting transcripts outlined in the International Non-Immigrant (F Visa or M Visa) Student Admission section.
Students who have received special diplomas are not eligible for admission to degree programs.
