FFP 2706 Public Information Officer

This course prepares the student to serve effectively as an organizational spokesperson according to the current practices in the profession of public relations and includes numerous examples from the fire service. Particular emphasis will focus on case studies in crisis communications and the role of the public information officer in incident command. This course is an elective for the Fire Officer II certification (awarded prior to 11/17/2013) through the Florida State Fire College.
