FFP 2120 Building Construction
This course will cover various types of building construction and renovation practices, along with their relationship to fire and firefighting. Topics include identifying hazards from assault by fire and gravity, how building construction can influence fire spread, fire confinement or structural collapse, and many other life safety issues. Emphasis will be placed on methods of evaluating the potential dangers to the firefighting forces as a result of the type of construction or methods of renovation.
