FFP 1302 Apparatus Practices

This course is designed to prepare the student to operate fire department pumping apparatus. Driving, operating pumps and positioning the apparatus at fire scenes will be covered. Inspection, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting problems with modern fire apparatus will be discussed. This course is primarily comprised of practical application with limited classroom time. The focus is primarily on hands on pumping, operating and calculating complex fire stream set ups in a clinical setting to establish and perfect skills. This course is one of two courses required for certification as a fire service apparatus and pump operator in the state of Florida. Student, special and other user course fees TBD.
