The Career Certificate shall be awarded upon satisfactory completion of a planned program of postsecondary studies in a specialized area. A minimum of 25 percent of the program, other than credit-by-examination, must be earned in residence at PHSC. A cumulative grade point average of not less than 2.0 or "C" must be achieved in the program courses by graduation. Some Career Certificate programs are open entry.
- Auxiliary Law Enforcement Officer
This technical credit-hour program is designed to prepare student for compensated or uncompensated employment or appointment by criminal justice agencies, to assist or aid full-time or part-time officers.
- Correctional Officer (BRTP)
The purpose of this technical credit hour program is to prepare students for entry-level employment as correctional officers. The program is prescribed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission in accordance with Florida Statutes.

The Law Enforcement Basic Training for Special Operations Forces Certificate Program is designed to prepare Special Operations Forces members with no more than a four-year break in service to sit for the FDLE exam in Law enforcement. This program exempts an officer from taking the full basic recruit academy.

- Dental Assisting
This technical credit-hour program is designed to prepare students for employment as dental assistants and dental auxiliaries. The program meets the standards of the Florida Board of Dentistry. Graduates of the program are eligible for employment as dental assistants with expanded functions and radiography skills.

Fire Academy (Firefighter I and Firefighter II)
The purpose of this program is to prepare students to enter the field of firefighting in the State of Florida. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the state exam.

Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician - Combined
The purpose of this program is to provide the necessary training required for students to become certified firefighters as well as licensed Emergency Medical Technicians. It is not intended for those who are currently certified/licensed as either firefighters or EMTs. Students wishing to add an additional certification to an existing credential must enroll in either the Firefighter program or the Emergency Medical Technician program.

This technical credit-hour program provides job related training at the entry level to candidates for law enforcement positions. The curriculum is prescribed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission in accordance with Florida statutes.

Medical Assistant
This technical credit program prepares students for employment as a Medical Assistant. Under the supervision of licensed medical personnel, a Medical Assistant supports the physician and other licensed staff in the management and care of patients in a medical office or other healthcare setting. A Medical Assistant performs basic clerical and office administration skills and medical duties that include, but are not limited to, phlebotomy skills, clinical laboratory skills, and patient examination skills.
- Phlebotomy
The purpose of this technical credit-hour program is to prepare students to work as phlebotomists. Students can work in hospitals, doctors' offices, nursing homes and other health care facilities.
- Practical Nursing
This technical credit-hour program is designed to prepare individuals to provide nursing care to clients in hospitals and other comparable health agencies as practical nurses and is approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing. Upon satisfactory completion of the prescribed course work, a graduate is eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses in accordance with regulations set forth in the Nurse Practice Act, Chapter 464.008 and 464.108.
- Surgical Technology
The purpose of this program is to prepare students to work as surgical technologists in hospital operating rooms, outpatient surgical centers, labor and delivery units, physician's offices and medical sales positions. Upon successful completion of the program, students are qualified to take a National Certifying Examination to become a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Welding Technology
The purpose of this program is to provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in the welding industry. The student will develop skills in fabrication and design, assembly of raw products, and use related tools. Students can earn industry recognized certifications after completing specific courses and certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).
- Welding Technology - Advanced
The program assists students to increase their skill set by focusing on pipe welding. This focus allows students to advance their skill set to be successfully in the construction and industry trades. Students can earn industry recognized certifications after completing specific courses and certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).
