PHSC does not discriminate on the basis of race (including dress and grooming), color, ancestry, national origin (including ethnicity, accent, and use of a language other than English), religion or religious creed (including reasonable accommodation of religious beliefs or practices), physical or mental disability (including reasonable accommodation of physical or mental disability), genetic information, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation). To ensure continued compliance in this area, PHSC has established an office of Education Access and Engagement. This office will process complaints alleging discrimination on the basis of any of the above areas. The responsibilities of the Associate Dean of Education Access and Engagement include the receipt of complaints about noncompliance with federal or state regulations, sufficient investigation of those complaints to determine the proper College office or bodies to which the matter should be referred, assistance to the grievant in referring the complaint to the appropriate office or body for action, and follow-up on interim and final disposition of the complaints. These functions shall not replace the established grievance procedures for students or employees.
