NUR 2403L Family Nursing Care Clinical (Transition)

This course is required for the paramedic and the LPN entering the ADN Transition program. This nursing course emphasizes the application of the contemporary role and scope of practice of the register nurse while applying the principles of nursing process, critical pediatric, and behavioral health clients. Content and course objectives are delivered from simple to complex and are designed for the learner to gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to manage, teach, therapeutically communicate, and provide evidence-based care in a variety of maternal child settings. This course consists of 30 lab hours and 90 clinical hours. Additional laboratory hours may be required.
