NUR 2460L Maternal/Child Nursing Clinical (Generic)
This nursing course emphasizes the application of the contemporary role and scope of practice of the registered nurse while applying the principles of nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgement to the family-centered care of diverse obstetric, gynecologic, pediatric, and behavioral health clients. Content and course objectives are delivered from simple to complex and are designed for the learner to gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to manage, teach, therapeutically communicate and provide evidenced-based care in a variety of maternal child settings. This course consists of 45 lab hours and 180 clinical hours. Additional campus laboratory hours may be required.
