STA 2023 Introduction to Statistics

In this course students will utilize descriptive and inferential statistical methods in contextual situations, using technology as appropriate. The course is designed to increase problem-solving abilities and data interpretation through practical applications of statistical concepts. This course is appropriate for students in a wide range of disciplines and programs. This course must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher if used to satisfy General Education course degree and/or certificate requirements.

Prerequisite

Any Area II college level math course: MAC 1105, MAC 1147, MAC 1114, MAC 1140, MAC 2233, MAC 2311, MAC 2312, MAC 2313, MAP 2302, MGF 1106, MGF 1107, or MTG 2206 completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
