Engineering Technology, Associate in Science
The Associate in Science in Engineering Technology degree program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the manufacturing career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the manufacturing career cluster.
Pasco-Hernando State College's associate in science in engineering technology degree program with a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing focuses on the community's need for a highly-skilled, well-trained, and technically-competent manufacturing workforce that is designed to prepare students for employment in high technology industries.
PHSC will offer several certificates that can be earned and applied to the associate of science degree in engineering technology as students work toward their associate degree. These certificates include Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certified Production Technician (MSSC-CPT), Automation Certificate, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Certificate, Engineering Technology Support Certificate, and the Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Motors for Manufacturing Certificate.
