SLS 1101 The College Experience
This course is designed for students who have earned less than 12 college credit hours and are planning to complete the Associate in Arts degree. Its purpose is to help a student develop more effective and efficient study skills and attitudes necessary to be successful in college. This course will give students the opportunity to engage with the college and with their peers through a service learning component and on-campus or online activities. Emphasis is placed on self-management, major study aids, active listening and reading skills, note-taking, test-taking strategies, and writing skills.
