MAC 2311 Calculus and Analytic Geometry I

This course is designed for students who plan to major in mathematics, computer science, engineering or natural sciences. Topics include: review of functions; limits and continuity; rules of differentiation; derivatives of algebraic and trigonometric function; inverse functions and their derivatives; derivatives of transcendental functions; mean value theorem and intermediate value theorem; extrema and curve sketching; applications of derivatives; the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus; integration; applications of integration; and integration of logarithmic, exponential, hyperbolic, inverse trigonometric, and inverse hyperbolic functions. This course must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher if used to satisfy General Education course degree and /or certificate requirements.
