HIM 0281 Coding for Medical Records II
This course is a continuation of the study of medical coding and coding principles and procedures using the Physicians' Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) coding nomenclature and the International Classification of Diseases, 9th edition Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) statistical classification system as used in physicians' offices, hospitals and other medical facilities. Emphasis will be on the application of coding skills and may include visits to local coding offices to enhance the students' knowledge of the work environment.
