STA 2023 Introduction to Statistics
A study of fundamental statistical methods including the basic concepts of probability, describing data using charts, graphs and numerical measures, sampling techniques, the basic statistical distributions, confidence interval estimates, hypothesis testing, linear correlation and regression, and non-parametric statistics. This course must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher if used to satisfy General Education course degree and/or certificate requirements.
Prerequisite
Any Area II college level math course: MAC 1105, MAC 1147, MAC 2233, MAC 2311, MAC 2312, MAC 2313, MAP 2302, MGF 1106, MGF 1107, or MTG 2206 completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
