HIM 2652 Electronic Health Records
This course will examine electronic health records starting with its history. The course will continue by introducing project management, impact on quality care, returns on investment, vendor selection, and system implementation and maintenance. The student will be exposed to electronic health records in acute care, ambulatory care, specialty specific and personal health records. The conclusion of the course will examine health information exchange.
