ECO 2013 Principles of Macroeconomics
An introductory course in macroeconomic principles and analysis. Areas covered include: aggregate supply and aggregate demand, national income accounting, unemployment, inflation, recession, economic growth and full employment output and income. The course also covers money and banking, monetary policy, fiscal policy, consumption and business fluctuations. This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement. A grade of "C" or higher must be attained.
Prerequisite
ENC 0021 or
ENC 0022 or ENC 0025 and
REA 0011 or REA 0017 or
REA 0019, and MAT 0022 or
MAT 0028 or
MAT 0055(completed with a grade of "C" or higher or "P" for each course) or appropriate placement test scores. Students who are not required to take the common placement test or enroll in developmental education courses do not have to satisfy prerequisites.
