AVM 2441 Aviation Safety and Human Factors

This course provides the student with a comprehensive understanding of human factors, focusing on the optimization of human-machine interaction through the isolation and mitigation of human error. Human physiology including vision, sleep cycles, stress and human performance are covered in depth, with emphasis on their effects in the aviation industry. Students are introduced to Cockpit Resource Management and Threat Error Management and various models for understanding and preventing aircraft accidents.
