Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)
FSAG is a need based grant program available to Florida residents enrolled in associate or baccalaureate degree programs. There is no guarantee every eligible student will be able to receive the grant because fund availability is limited.
How to apply
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available online.
- Ensure that the College's name and school code number (010652) are listed correctly on the FAFSA
Eligibility
Students are eligible if they:
- Are a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
- Enroll for a minimum of six credit hours per semester in an associate or baccalaureate degree program
- Have been a resident of Florida for at least 12 consecutive months
- Demonstrate financial need as defined by the state
- Are neither in default nor overpayment on student loans or other aid
- Are transfer students with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Have not previously received a baccalaureate degree
- Have not completed more than 110% of the required number of credit/clock hours required for their declared degree program
Criteria for Continuing Eligibility
- Must maintain 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Withdrawals can affect students' eligibility to receive the FSAG the following academic year
- Must complete 12 credit hours for each semester for full-time award
- Must complete nine credit hours for each semester for 3/4-time award
- Must complete six credit hours for each semester for 1/2-time award
- Eligibility is determined at the end of the spring semester
- Credit hours earned the previous summer can be counted toward the total number of credit hours required
- Demonstrate financial need by completing an error-free FAFSA each academic year
- Have not completed more than 110% of the required number of credit/clock hours required for their degree program
